High Street competition for personal and home computing is fierce – how many pieces of junk mail do you get in your letterbox/newspaper (if you still get one!) each week from the major retailers..?

But did you know that there are more than 700,000 computer hardware related organic searches each month on Google NZ? And did you know that according to Google research, two thirds of all computer purchases are researched online..?

No? – It appears that neither do the major retailers!

Despite spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on TV, print, junk mail etc, these hundreds of thousands of searches from potential customers in NZ are going largely ignored.

Why is this? And who is winning online and giving people the information they need, to make the purchases they’re trying to?

With competition being so strong and the recession biting hard for retailers you’d expect them to be fighting over these customers yet they’re apparently not.
